Baba Vanga, the late Bulgarian mystic who passed away in 1996, has once again seemingly predicted a significant event for 2023, adding another accurate foresight to her extensive list of predictions that span into the year 5079. Her revelations for 2024 include ominous forecasts ranging from cyber attacks and an attempt on Vladimir Putin’s life to alarming weather events and an economic crisis. Recent events have brought attention to Vanga’s prediction for 2023, specifically concerning a solar storm.
Vanga had previously warned that 2023 would witness a solar storm with potential catastrophic consequences. The term “solar storm” encompasses various solar surface phenomena, including solar flares and coronal mass ejections. On December 1, the world experienced such a solar event, aligning with Vanga’s prediction. Physicist Tamitha Skov had issued a warning about the impending solar storm, anticipating its impact on Earth.
“The storm is predicted to hit Earth by midday December 1… If the magnetic field is oriented correctly, expect aurora to reach deep into mid-latitudes. Amateur radio and GPS reception issues are likely, especially on Earth’s nightside,” wrote Dr. Skov on X.
She elaborated on the potential effects of the storm: “Along with two earlier storms already en route means we have a 1, 2, 3-punch. If the magnetic field is oriented correctly, expect #aurora to reach deep into mid-latitudes. Amateur #radio & #GPS reception issues are likely, especially on Earth’s nightside. G3+ conditions are possible with this storm series.”

While concerns were raised about possible blackouts in certain areas, reminiscent of Vanga’s predictions, the actual impact of the storm turned out to be more visually captivating than disruptive. Overnight, people shared photographs online showcasing the awe-inspiring auroras that graced the skies during the solar storm.
NASA explains that these natural light displays result from magnetic storms triggered by solar activity such as solar flares or coronal mass ejections. Dr. Skov provided an update, mentioning that the storm is now ‘waning,’ but she cautioned about another potential event, stating, “another chance is coming with a big coronal hole set to send us fast #solar wind in about three days.” She noted the likelihood of returning to G1-levels and mentioned several new solar storm blows expected around the same time.
