She hasn’t gotten a haircut in twenty-five years.

Rosa Ramirez, a woman from the United States, had long hair that was well-recognized for catching people’s attention everywhere she went.

Despite her husband’s requests, the woman refused to cut her hair for 25 years. As a result, her ankle-length hair ornament was nearly 1.5 meters long.

Rosa finally gave in and said she needed to change how she looked.

She consented to had her hair cropped in exchange for a donation to a group that makes wigs for children with cancer.

See how the woman now appears in the video below:

The situation only gets worse at that point because shaving off face hair can be really uncomfortable. Try one of the recipes below rather than hurting your face with wax, which can cause skin irritation and burns. Just keep in mind to use them in the direction that your hair grows to avoid any pain.

Coffee and baking soda
This mixture removes hair from the roots and exfoliates the skin, making it smoother and healthier.

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of water, 2 teaspoons of instant coffee, and 1 tablespoon baking soda.

You should only leave the paste on your face for five minutes at most. This mask dries rapidly as well. When it’s dry, rub it in and wash your face. Use this technique frequently to reduce the growth of facial hair.

Potatoes and lentils
This is a typical treatment in India. Lentils should be soaked overnight and blended the next morning to create a paste. Then add 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 spoon of honey, and the juice of three grated and peeled potatoes to the mixture. Once the paste has been smoothed out, apply it to your face. 20 minutes should pass before rubbing it off and cleansing your face.

Mung bean flour and rose water
By combining mung bean flour with rose water, you may remove facial hair and wash sensitive, acne-prone skin.

In a mixing dish, combine 2 tablespoons mung bean flour, 1 teaspoon rose water, and 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice. Apply the mixture where there are hair follicles and give it 20 minutes to work. Take it from your face, then rinse it with water. For best results, repeat 3–4 times each week.
