Dolly Parton shares sad things from her past.

Many people know Dolly Parton, the famous singer. She’s been a star for a long time and doesn’t plan to stop. At 18, she decided she wanted to be a star, and she made that dream come true.

Dolly’s childhood was tough. She grew up in a big, poor family, but she always wanted to look good, inspired by someone in her town. Her grandfather disapproved and even hurt her because of her appearance. Despite this, Dolly stayed connected to music, a big part of her life.

Born on January 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, Dolly grew up with 11 siblings. Her family loved music, and her uncles helped her get started. By age 10, she performed on TV and radio. At 13, she debuted on the national country radio station, Grand Ole Opry.

Dolly has always loved fashion and often surprises fans with her looks. She’s written over 3,000 songs, including hits like “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene.” She has won eight Grammy Awards and sold over 100 million albums.

In 1964, Dolly met Carl Dean outside a laundromat in Nashville. They married in 1966 and have kept their love private. Despite her success, Dolly never had children, focusing instead on her career. Now 77, she continues to make music and perform, staying true to herself.
