My husband told me that he ain’t jealous of me

A Change of Heart

My husband used to be jealous when I’d go out, but he’s changed his tune. He recently told me he’s “too old for this stuff” and doesn’t get jealous anymore.

This shift was clear one night when I was getting ready for a concert. Dressed up in a chic dress and high heels, I announced I was heading out with friends. My husband’s face was priceless; he immediately started asking which friends I’d be with and what time I’d be home. I told him I couldn’t say and enjoyed watching his reaction.

After a good laugh, I revealed I had also bought tickets for him. His face lit up like a Christmas tree at the thought of joining me. At the concert, he admitted he was wrong about me being too old for excitement. He told me, “I’m still beautiful,” and he felt rejuvenated from the night out with me. It’s amazing what a dress and heels can do!
