Just days after Clint Eastwood’s longtime girlfriend Christina Sandera passed away at 61, new information has surfaced.

Cause of Death Revealed

Sandera died of a heart attack on July 18. According to a representative from the Monterey County Health Department, the cause was cardiac arrhythmia, with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease listed as a secondary condition.

Eastwood’s Statement

Eastwood, 94, shared his grief with The Hollywood Reporter on July 19. “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” he stated.

Their Relationship

The couple first met over a decade ago when Sandera worked as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. They officially began dating in 2014 and appeared together at several red carpet events, including their first in 2015.

Final Tribute

Rest in peace, Christina.
