Kevin Costner confirms major personal news: ‘Great sadness’

Kevin Costner doesn't age! The star, 67, looks as young as he did 30 years ago | Daily Mail Online

Kevin Costner and his wife of nearly 19 years, Christine Baumgartner, are divorcing. The news surprised Costner, who is currently working on his film Horizon. Sources say Baumgartner, who filed for divorce, warned Costner about his frequent absences due to work, which were hard for her.

Despite knowing his wife was unhappy, the divorce filing shocked Costner. The couple, who started dating in 2000 and married in 2004, share three children. This isn’t Costner’s first divorce; he previously split from Cindy Silva amid rumors of affairs.

Costner’s representative stated, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
