The World’s Oldest Woman Ate the Same Meal Every Day — And Lived to 117

**Emma Morano, born in 1899, became the world’s oldest verified woman before passing at 117 in 2017. Her extraordinary lifespan spanned two world wars and countless technological revolutions.**

**Her secret? A highly unconventional diet of three eggs daily (two raw), chicken, biscuits, and grappa – a routine she followed for 90 years after a doctor prescribed it for anemia in the 1920s.**

**Defying modern nutrition advice, Morano ate almost no fruits or vegetables. Her doctor confirmed her diet consisted mainly of eggs, poultry, and the herbal Italian liquor – yet she outlived nearly everyone in recorded history.**

**Genetics clearly played a role – her mother lived to 91, and most siblings became centenarians. Remarkably, Morano maintained high cholesterol without developing heart problems.**

**Beyond diet, Morano credited her longevity to fierce independence. She escaped an abusive marriage in 1938, living alone for 80 years. “I didn’t want to be dominated,” she told reporters.**

**Her lifestyle broke all conventional wisdom: no exercise regimens, no superfoods – just consistency, emotional resilience, and a high-protein diet that worked for her unique biology.**

**While experts warn against raw eggs today, Morano’s story reminds us longevity is personal. Her 117 years demonstrate how individual habits, genetics and mental fortitude combine to create exceptional lifespans.**
