Dick Van Dyke Appears In Coldplay Video

When many of us think about Dick Van Dyke, he becomes a man that is frozen in time. We may think about him dancing on Mary Poppins or perhaps even on his television show, the Dick Van Dyke show.

Dick Van Dyke is still every bit of the entertainer he was decades ago, but now that he is almost 100, his entertainment is slightly different. That doesn’t stop him, however, from continuing to do things that surprise us regularly.

Recently, he was able to hit the spotlight in a way that makes us all remember him with a smile on our faces. He was in Coldplay’s latest music video, and he filmed it from his home in Malibu.

In the video, he reminisces about his life and reflects on aging. He says: “I’m acutely aware that I could go any day now. But I don’t know why it doesn’t concern me. I’m not afraid of it.”

The video was put together in a beautiful way and it is more of a personal look at Dick Van Dyke than it is a music video for Coldplay. At one point, Van Dyck even breaks into the dance, ‘The Twizzle’ which is a dance he did on the Dick Van Dyke show.

Dick Van Dyke also gives a tribute to his children and holds a picture of Stacy as a child. He says that she comforts him in his dreams and it isn’t long before the entire family is out there to join him.

There are many reasons to love Dick Van Dyke but this video reminds us of every one of them.
