In the days that followed, time broke into fragments: police questions, sleepless nights, the unbearable stillness of a house that had lost its heartbeat. Every object became a wound—tiny shoes by the door, a mug on the counter, a blanket folded and waiting for a child who would never return. Friends stumbled over words, neighbors whispered, headlines reduced his world to a single shocking line.
Yet within that wreckage, he made a quiet decision. His family would not be remembered only as victims or statistics. He began telling their stories—their favorite songs, their stubborn quirks, the way laughter once bounced off those same walls. Grief did not loosen its grip, but it changed shape as memory pushed back against the darkness. With no clear answers, he chose to walk forward anyway, carrying them in every step, refusing to let love end where their lives had.
