The well-known singer of the classic song “Paper Roses,” Marie Osmond, is a stunning woman who is immensely pleased of her daughter Jessica’s development into a formidable lady.

This globally recognized superstar is still very much in demand in the entertainment business at the age of sixty. Marie Osmond is a well-known talk show host who formerly performed as a singer. She is now working on a number of intriguing projects, including a new show for Viacom CBS.

From the Osmonds to Solo Stardom: A Journey
As a member of the Osmond family, Marie Osmond initially rose to fame in 1962 when she won over viewers with her regular routine on The Andy Williams Show.

However, Marie’s career really took off in 1973, when she was barely 14 years old. Her country-inspired single “Paper Roses” shot to the top of the US Country charts and the Top 5 of the Billboard Magazine Pop list, making it an immediate hit. With this discovery, Marie’s remarkable solo career officially began.

Marie’s family shared in her accomplishment. As a member of The Osmonds, her brother Donny Osmond rose to fame as well. The charismatic pair rose to fame not only for their television program but also as the two most well-known Mormons in the entertainment business.

Accepting and Loving One Another
When Marie Osmond supported her adopted daughter Jessica, who identifies as a lesbian, it caused controversy because of her Mormon faith. The eldest child of Marie Osmond and her former spouse, Brian Blosil, is Jessica Marie Blosil. Jessica was adopted by Marie and Brian when she was two years old.

Even though Marie and Brian’s marriage ended amicably in 2007, they nevertheless separated. Afterwards, Marie remarried Steve Craig, her first husband, who had also been a football player before becoming a public speaker.

Although the LGBTQ+ community is now welcome to join the Mormon Church, it is important to remember that this acceptance is still conditioned on celibacy. In terms of Church discipline, same-sex marriage is no longer regarded as an apostate, but it is nevertheless regarded as a grave violation.

Marie Osmond’s fans are deeply moved by her unwavering support and acceptance of her daughter’s sexual orientation. Despite her commitment to the Mormon faith, Marie openly expresses her love and support for Jessica.


In an interview, she shared how immensely honored she felt when Diane Sawyer named her “Person of the Week” due to her unwavering love for her daughter. The news of Jessica coming out as gay at 17 brought Marie to tears, as she solely wished for her child’s happiness and believed that judgment had no place in their relationship.

The Joy of Unconditional Love
Today, Marie Osmond’s daughter, Jessica, is happily married to her wife, Sara. In a heartwarming display of support, Marie posted a heartfelt photo of the couple, congratulating them on their marriage and warmly welcoming Sara into the family.

As for Marie and Steve Craig, they continue to thrive as a couple. And, of course, Marie’s other children also find their unique paths to success.
