FORMER FIRST Lady Rosalynn Carter Passes Away at Age 96

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a tireless advocate for mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, has passed away at the age of 96 at her home in Plains, Georgia. She peacefully departed with her family by her side.

Married for 77 years to the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, she was his equal partner and a source of guidance and support throughout his career. Rosalynn Carter is survived by her husband, President Jimmy Carter, and her children Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy, along with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Her impact extended beyond her roles as a loving mother and First Lady; she was a humanitarian who improved mental health care and caregiving resources in the United States.
