A 6-year-old Boy Says Goodnight For The Last Time To His Younger Sister

Kids, especially younger kids, are one of the purest, most honest creatures I’ve ever had the chance to meet. And, in the following article, you are going to take a look at the “Last Goodnight” that this 6-year-old has ever said to his younger sister. The parents managed to catch it on camera, and now, he has something that he can hold on to, to remind him of his younger sister.
4-year-old Adalynn “Addy” Sooter, the daughter of Matt Sooter, the father who managed to catch the heartbreaking moment, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. And, Matt said it best, when he wrote the caption to the picture. He said that a young boy should not have to say goodbye to his younger sister that early in their life. He immediately got more than eight thousand people reacting and commenting on the heartbreaking photo. And, now, Addy’s parents decided to take things in their own hands and raise awareness about that form of cancer.

Their lives were a mess after they found out that Addy is suffering from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Back in 2016, they first heard about this disease, and they found out that it’s a tumor that grows from the brainstem. The doctors informed the parents that their daughter would live with the same symptoms for one and a half years, and after that, the symptoms would worsen. And, as Matt put it in his Facebook post, his daughter’s health started deteriorating fast!

Sticking Near to his Younger Sister!

In a wholly unique and heart tearing moment, Matt decided to invite all of the friends and family who wanted to say goodbye to Addy to contact them.

He also shared that their older son, Jackson, wasn’t doing so well with leaving his sister.

And, a short period after young Jackson said goodnight to his younger sister, he went to bed, and Addy passed away.

She Died Helping Others!

Only a couple hours after their daughter passed away, the parents decided to share the sad news on their Facebook page “Hope for Addy Joy – Fighting DIPG.”

The post stated that the young girl passed away without any pain at the end. And that she went stubbornly and peacefully.

The family decided to donate the areas affected by the tumor to scientific research hoping that this would help other families not to lose their young kids.
