Paradise Is A “Dream,” As Arnold Schwarzenegger Said.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Opens Up in New Netflix Series

The former legislative leader of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, shares his struggles in the new three-part documentary series “Arnold,” now streaming on Netflix.

Unique Perspective on Life and Death

In the series, Schwarzenegger, offers his unique perspective on life and death. He broaches the subject during a conversation with Danny DeVito, who asks, “What the future holds for us.”

Schwarzenegger recalls a question from Howard Stern about what happens after we die. “Six feet below, that’s it. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying,” he said. He admits he doesn’t know what happens to the soul but is certain that we won’t see each other again in the same way.

Thoughts on Heaven

Though he finds discussing death unsettling, Schwarzenegger believes heaven is a “fantasy.” He explains, “It sounds wonderful when people say, ‘I’ll see them again in heaven,’ but in reality, we won’t meet again after we die. That’s the sad part. Some find comfort in this idea, but I don’t.”

Redefining Heaven

Schwarzenegger reflects on losing “15 friends in the last 20 years” from the bodybuilding community. His concept of heaven has changed: “Heaven is where I place someone I love, who’s kind, generous, and made an impact on my life and others’ lives. I keep them in my heart, like that first row of friends. And thinking about them always makes me happy.”

The “Arnold” Documentary

The new documentary series “Arnold,” airing on Netflix, candidly chronicles Schwarzenegger’s journey. According to the production company, the series “chronicles Arnold Schwarzenegger’s journey from the fields of Austria to the highest echelons of the American Dream” and includes interviews with Schwarzenegger, his friends, enemies, costars, and observers.

This series offers a rare glimpse into the life and thoughts of Arnold Schwarzenegger, providing fans and viewers with an intimate look at his personal and professional struggles and triumphs.
