British IT entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, tragically died after their superyacht, Bayesian, capsized off the coast of Sicily on August 21. The yacht was struck by a rare and violent “black swan” waterspout. Search teams found Lynch and his daughter among the wreckage, tragically discovered cuddled between mattresses.
The incident occurred just after Lynch, often called “Britain’s Bill Gates,” had won his US fraud trial related to the $10.9 billion sale of his company, Autonomy. The identities of two other victims found on board remain unknown, and a fifth body is still trapped in the sunken yacht. The investigation is ongoing.
