Mark Wahlberg, 51, spoke about balancing his faith with his career during an interview with Savannah Guthrie. He emphasized that while he doesn’t want to force his beliefs on others, hiding them would be a “greater sin.” Wahlberg shared that he applies the same approach with his four children, showing them the importance of his faith through his actions without pushing them. He hopes they naturally gravitate toward it.

Wahlberg also discussed the significance of Lent and fasting, explaining that it’s about distancing from negative habits and focusing on positive ones. As a narrator for the Catholic prayer app Hallow, he guides users in the Pray40 Lent Challenge, highlighting the importance of discipline in becoming better versions of ourselves.

Reflecting on his faith, Wahlberg said, “It’s everything. Focusing on my faith has given me the opportunity to become a better version of myself.”
