She Played Timmy’s Mom on “Lassie.” See This Legendary Actress Now at 98.

June Lockhart, who is most recognized for her role as Ruth Martin on Lassie (1958–1964), is currently 98 years old and continues to exude charm. She also portrayed Dr. Maureen Robinson in Lost in Space and made guest appearances in series such as Bewitched, Magnum, P.I., and General Hospital. In 1948, she was honored with a Tony Award for her performance in For Love or Money.

In addition to her acting career, Lockhart has been a devoted advocate for NASA, earning the Exceptional Public Achievement Medal in 2013. She was married to John F. Maloney and is the mother of two daughters, one of whom is actress Anne Lockhart.

Still full of life, Lockhart once remarked, “I feel like I’m 55.” Her extensive, pioneering career and lasting vitality continue to motivate fans from various generations.
