Kelly Clarkson admits she spanks her children if they misbehave

**Kelly Clarkson has openly shared her views on parental discipline, revealing she’s “not above” giving her children occasional spankings.**

**The singer and talk show host admitted she finds it “tricky” to discipline her kids in public, as smacking has become socially frowned upon.**

**During a 2018 radio interview, Clarkson explained, “I don’t mean hitting hard – just a spanking,” noting her own childhood experiences with the practice.**

**She emphasized her disciplinary approach includes warnings first: “I tell them, ‘I’m going to spank you if you don’t stop,’ which she says has proven effective.**

**Clarkson shares two children with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock – River Rose (8) and Remington Alexander (6) – and often discusses parenting challenges.**

**The Grammy winner has also spoken about experiencing “mom guilt,” particularly when work keeps her from her children, admitting some days leave her emotionally overwhelmed.**

**While Clarkson was open about her disciplinary methods in 2018, it’s unclear if her views on spanking have evolved in recent years.**
