Jennifer Lopez earned praise for using respectful pronouns when talking about her teen, Emme

Jennifer Lopez apparently transformed into a furious mom bear on a recent outing with Emme, prompting fans to once again emphasize the singer’s unwavering love for her children.

The 55-year-old singer and actress attended the Broadway premiere of Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, with 17-year-old Emme by her side.

During the high-profile night out in New York City, the couple made a coordinated style statement by posing for pictures outside the Barrymore Theatre while dressed in sleek black and gray suits.

Lopez looked stunning in a two-piece ensemble that highlighted her stomach beneath a little cropped top. She finished off her style with a floor-length skirt, a fur coat, and a beautiful hairdo, while Emme went for a casual, trendy look that complemented their mother’s dress.

People were talking about more than just their red carpet clothes.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with Page Six, Lopez went into full “mama bear” mode when a paparazzo allegedly slammed a “huge paparazzi camera” into Emme’s face as they departed the theater.

“She went mama bear,” the insider added, adding that Lopez “yelled at the guy” for breaching her child’s personal space.

The protective moment struck a chord with many followers online, particularly those who are aware of Lopez’s continuous support for Emme’s non-binary identity.

Lopez made news in 2022 during the Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles when she presented Emme on stage with they/them pronouns, a gesture that soon went viral.

“The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this, and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t,” Lopez remarked as Emme joined her onstage. “So, this is a very special occasion.”

She added with a humorous allusion to Emme’s schedule, “They are extremely busy, booked, and expensive.” They’ll cost me when they come out. But they are worth every dime since they are my all-time favorite duet partner. So, please indulge me.”
