Angelina Jolie Is Selling Her House & Leaving The Country

Angelina Jolie is preparing to leave Los Angeles behind as she plans an international relocation once her youngest twins turn 18 next year. The actress, 50, has reportedly never wanted permanent LA residency but remained due to custody arrangements with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Jolie plans to sell her historic $24.5 million estate, purchased in 2017. The 11,000-square-foot property, originally owned by legendary director Cecil B. DeMille, boasts six bedrooms and ten bathrooms on lush grounds with deep Hollywood roots.

A source reveals Jolie will make minor renovations before listing the architectural treasure. “It’s a historic masterpiece,” the insider noted, adding that the actress is currently exploring several overseas destinations for her future home.

The humanitarian has long expressed her desire for more privacy and peace than Los Angeles can offer. “I want my children to have safety and privacy,” Jolie previously told The Hollywood Reporter, describing LA as lacking the “humanity” she’s found abroad.

Cambodia holds special significance for Jolie, who adopted eldest son Maddox there in 2002. She’s called it “the one place in my heart that I consider home” and plans to spend considerable time there post-move.

With her divorce finalized in December 2024 after an eight-year battle, Jolie will soon be free to relocate. The actress shares six children with Pitt: Maddox, 24, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.

Jolie’s departure will mark the end of an era, closing both her LA chapter and the story of one of Hollywood’s most legendary properties. The star intends to split her time between Cambodia and other global locations where family members reside.
