Melania Trump Says She Will Sue

Melania Trump Says She Will Sue Hunter Biden for $1 Billion for ‘Defamatory’ Statements

First Lady Melania Trump is preparing to sue Hunter Biden for over $1 billion, accusing him of spreading false and harmful claims. Her legal team insists they are committed to securing apologies and corrections from anyone spreading misinformation about her. In a letter to Hunter Biden’s attorney, Melania’s lawyers called his statements “false, disparaging, defamatory, and inflammatory.” They demanded a public retraction and apology, warning that failure to comply would trigger legal action. The letter also claims that Hunter’s statements caused “overwhelming financial and reputational harm” to the First Lady.

Hunter made the claims during a recent interview with filmmaker Andrew Callaghan. He suggested that unreleased documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein could implicate Donald Trump and claimed Epstein introduced Melania to him. Melania and Donald Trump have consistently shared their story of how they met—none of which mentions Jeffrey Epstein. They first met in November 1998 at a Fashion Week party hosted by Italian entrepreneur Paolo Zampolli, founder of ID Models. Donald, recently separated from his second wife, Marla Maples, and father of four, met Melania, then 28, and asked for her phone number. Melania later called him after a Caribbean photo shoot. Their first official date was dinner followed by a visit to Moomba, a popular New York celebrity hotspot. Melania recalled, “I was struck by his energy. He has an amazing sense of vitality.”

Despite the legal warning, Hunter returned to the same platform and refused to apologize. When asked if he would retract his claims, he reportedly replied, “[expletive] that. That’s not going to happen.” Melania’s lawyer, Alejandro Brito, emphasized that her attorneys are pursuing immediate retractions and apologies from anyone spreading false claims, signaling that the First Lady will defend her reputation aggressively.

The lawsuit also points to media amplification. Hunter cited journalist Michael Wolff and an article in The Daily Beast suggesting links between Melania, Donald, and Epstein. After receiving a legal notice, the outlet retracted the article and issued an apology for any “confusion or misunderstanding.” Donald Trump previously had a friendship with Epstein, which ended in the early 2000s over a dispute at his Florida golf club spa. There is no evidence Epstein played any role in Melania meeting Donald. Epstein d**d by s**cide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial. As Hunter refuses to apologize and Melania prepares to sue, the situation remains unresolved. The legal showdown is now a waiting game to see who will budge first.
