At Sharon’s detached garage, the narrator and Jordan discovered hundreds of packages stacked nearly to the rafters. Through a gap in the fence, they watched a man arrive in a white cargo van and load boxes while Sharon checked them off a clipboard. The narrator recognized her own gift box among the stolen deliveries. Jordan then spotted another package labeled for Mrs. Alvarez, an elderly neighbor who lived three streets away.
Jordan immediately called 911 while the narrator tracked the van’s movements using the device hidden in her package. Rather than chase the driver, they provided the dispatcher with the changing location. Twelve minutes later, two patrol cars stopped the van outside a self-storage facility near the highway.
